Forgetting myself

For just one moment,
I forgot myself–
Who I am,
Who I think I am, and
Who I think others think I am.

It was a relief–
To be free of myself, and
All the things associated
With who I think I am.

For one moment, I had the chance
To be something thoughts escape,
Something time doesn’t own,
Something with no need to die.
